Terms & Conditions
Horse riding & quad tours
Late arrival. After the start time of the experience, guests have 15 minutes' tolerance to arrive at the meeting point. If this is exceeded, the host may proceed with the experience (if other participants are involved) or cancel it, with no right to a refund or rescheduling.
Cancellation. Cancel up to 7 days before the start of the experience for a full refund, or up to 24 hours after booking, provided the booking is made more than 48 hours before the start time. The host may cancel the experience if weather conditions would make it unsafe or uncomfortable for participants — in which case a full refund is given.
Horse riding requirements. Minimum age 6 years. Maximum rider weight 90 kg — guests exceeding this limit will not be able to take part and will not be entitled to a refund. By purchasing the experience you confirm you have read and accept these Terms & Conditions. Once purchased and once you have arrived on site, the experience is non-transferable.
Quad tour requirements. The driver must hold a valid full category B car driving licence (provisional or learner licences are not accepted). A passport or ID card is mandatory. Minimum age 8 years, and minors must always be accompanied by an adult driver — the solo quad is for licensed adult drivers only.
Safety rules. Guests must follow the safety instructions given by the host and all rules for the proper running of the experience. Any breach may endanger the guest, the host, other participants and the animals. The host may end the experience or remove any guest who disrupts it, with no right to a refund or rescheduling.
Horse transport
All bookings are made subject to the following conditions, which apply in all circumstances. A confirmed booking means the client agrees to abide by all the terms below.
- The horse, equipment and materials remain the owner's responsibility, and horses must be insured by the owner.
- All additional veterinary and stabling costs are paid by the owner. If, in our opinion, a horse needs urgent veterinary care during the journey and the owner cannot be reached, we will contact a vet — but the owner is responsible for all veterinary or emergency costs incurred.
- It is the sender's responsibility to prepare the horse properly for the journey. The decision and responsibility over protective gear (leg, tail protection, etc.) lies entirely with the owner. GM Equestrian and its staff will take all necessary precautions for a safe, comfortable journey, but the owner is responsible for any damage caused to or by their horse.
- Any damage caused to the trucks is the horse owner's responsibility, and repair costs are borne by the owner.
- If the horse cannot be loaded (due to handling difficulties, no-show of the sender, etc.) and the transport does not go ahead, the owner will be charged a cancellation fee of 50–100% of the quote, depending on the circumstances.
- We reserve the right to refuse to continue a transport — even with the horse loaded or mid-journey — if we believe it cannot be done in full safety or would put the horse, the truck or our staff at risk, and a cancellation fee will apply. If the horse must be unloaded before the final destination, the owner is responsible for stabling and veterinary costs, and for arranging new transport.
- Prices and quotes are based on the information given by the client at the time of booking. If that information is incorrect or changes, and results in increased journey time or mileage, costs may increase.
- Extra waiting time to load or unload is charged at €15 per half hour.
- Our trucks carry up to a set amount of material and equipment per horse. All contents are the owner's responsibility and must be insured by the owner; we are not liable for any damage to or loss of transported material. Additional space, if available, is charged separately.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of loading incur 50% of the quote. Cancellations made within 12 hours of loading are charged in full.
- To confirm a booking, a 50% deposit is required, with the balance paid on loading. Payment may be made by bank transfer (proof required), MB WAY or cash.
